Seeing What Sticks Is How You Gain Insights to Who Your Customers are
Sometimes just chucking on your ads could work, if you’re willing to keep changing things and learn from the data, then you will eventually hit that sweet spot and find your market that sticks with you.
I would not recommend doing this today really, as Facebook has made it a lot easier when it comes to researching your market in 2019.

In saying that, you could have researched your perfect market to the T. You would still have to launch your ad to all the people you have researched. As well as the segments which you have applied, to see which of them stick.
The goal of this, is that Facebook will indicate to you, that say 100 000 people match the profile you are looking to market to. But, out of that 100 000 people, 50% or more could still not be your perfect prospect or lead.
So, the only way you’re going to find this out is by launching your campaign. Seeing what sticks, and then refining that data based on what you have gained from the campaign’s data. Then slowly refining the audience bit by bit, till you hit that golden spot.
