We used to do this. But we found that Facebook will charge you more in your marketing costs if your sending people to your website from Facebook. They prefer to have the user stay on the Facebook platform and give you the lead without them leaving Facebook.

This makes total sense as well.

Facebook does its best to get people to use their platform. If your ad is going to take them away from the platform, then it goes against what they are trying to do. Thus, they would rather reward you by charging you less, if you gain the new leads from directly inside of the Facebook platform by using this tool.
